MANUFACTURING GROWTH LOSES MOMENTUM IN SEPTEMBER, PMI SHOWS

India’s manufacturing activity lost some momentum in September but remained firmly in expansionary territory, according to the HSBC India Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) data released by S&P Global on Wednesday.
While job creation was slow in the month and both input and output costs increased, companies were optimistic about the future following changes in the Goods and Services Tax (GST).
