HP cabinet nod to shift wildlife wing from Shimla to D'shala

The Cabinet also clears conversion of part-time Class IV workers to daily wagers

DHARAMSHALA: The Himachal cabinet on Monday approved the relocation of the forest department's wildlife wing from Shimla to the CPD KFW Project Office building in Dharamshala, Kangra district and the office of the CPD KFW Project will be shifted to the vacated premises of the Conservator of Forests (Wildlife), Dharamshala.

Earlier, the chairperson of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) Raghubir Singh Bali had announced regarding the shifting of its head office to Kangra district. The Congress government has declared Kangra district as the tourism capital of the state.

The state Cabinet in its meeting held under the chairmanship of chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu also decided to convert part-time Class-IV workers of various departments, who have completed seven years of continuous services as on March 31, 2025, as daily wagers.
