Supreme Court judge justice Surya Kant has flagged a “paradox” in global human rights discourse where countries with some of the most rigid immigration policies present themselves as global champions of human rights while India has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to human rights, rooted in its constitutional framework and heritage.
