Age never seems to weary majestic ginkgo guards

At the Beijing Stone Carving Art Museum, formerly a temple, two ginkgo trees stand like sentinels in front of a pagoda.

These trees more than 600 years old, and each of whose branches span over more than 2 metres, guard the ancient structure with timeless grace.

Since autumn began to set in in September the site has been a magnet for visitors, with thousands arriving each day to capture photos and admire the trees' golden leaves.
