Schools, Colleges Reopen in Districts Along Indo-Pak Border

Days after the ceasefire was announced by India and Pakistan, normalcy resumed in the districts along the border with the reopening of educational institutions, holding of examinations and restart of train operations.

BARMER:

"Security agencies have informed that the situation is completely normal and there is no sign of any tension. Therefore, people can resume their daily lives without any panic. As of May 12, 2025, there is no requirement for any pre-scheduled blackout. However, in case of an emergency, a blackout may be enforced immediately," said Barmer district collector Tina Dabi.

She further said that the leave orders for all government and non-government schools, colleges, universities, private coaching centres, madrasas, libraries, and Anganwadi centres in Barmer district have been revoked with immediate effect for all students. "As per the revised order, all types of educational institutions in Barmer district will resume regular academic activities from May 13, 2025."

The railway operations resuming and a train departing for the border town of Munabao. Schools, colleges, and coaching centres reopened across the district following official orders.
