Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi continued their exchange of barbs on Tuesday, exposing widening cracks in the opposition INDIA bloc.
NEW DELHI: While the former Delhi chief minister accused the Congress of "fighting the election along with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)", Gandhi released a video mocking Arvind Kejriwal's promise to "turn Delhi into Paris".
The friction comes as Delhi heads into assembly polls, with the AAP and the Congress contesting against each other despite their alliance at the national level formed against the BJP for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Kejriwal accused Congress of teaming up with the BJP. "It is now obvious to everyone... The BJP and the Congress are together fighting this election against the people of Delhi and AAP. There is no iota of doubt in this," the AAP chief alleged.
Earlier on Monday, at a rally in east Delhi's Seelampur, Gandhi launched a scathing attack on Kejriwal's governance, comparing him to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in terms of "publicity and broken promises".

Ignored Sarfaraz to not move up the batting order
Gearing up for a fresh Ranji season with an eye on bigger personal honours is what Sarfaraz Khan has done a lot of. Being constantly on the waiting list is also something he's learned to deal with. It may have led to frustration, but it never broke him. To lose favour after making it to the elite level can be deflating though and will test the resilience of the middle-order batter.
