Noida Airport awaits clean-up, DGCA nod

{ COUNTDOWN } OFFICIALS TOLD TO FINISH FINAL TOUCHES IN 15 DAYS
Two final tasks stand between the Noida International Airport at Jewar and its long-awaited opening to the public, officials said on Monday.
The first involves clearing leftover construction material from roads and open spaces. The second is obtaining the aerodrome licence from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), amandatory requirement for all commercial airports.
According to senior officials of Noida International Airport Ltd (NIAL) - the Uttar Pradesh government body overseeing the project — the concessionaire Yamuna International Airport Pvt Ltd has been instructed to complete the remaining work “within 15 days” before the final inauguration date is finalised
