The Parliament on Tuesday passed the Disaster Management (Amendment) Bill through a voice vote, with Union home minister Amit Shah asserting that there will be no centralisation of powers or discrimination with states in handling disasters.
NEW DELHI: A fund of ₹858 crore allocated for controlling pollution has remained unutilised, according to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Science and Technology, Environment, Forests and Climate Change, which also looked at this under usage in the context of India's standing as one of the most polluted countries in the world.
