BENGALURU: Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah on Friday reiterated that he would remain in office amid a buzz over a power tussle in the Congress-led state government.
The CM's comments came a day after a state minister and several MLAs, considered close to deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar, travelled to New Delhi to meet the Congress's top brass. The development, which came a day after Siddaramaiah completed two-and-a-half years in office, has reignited speculation that the Congress government in Karnataka was formed after reaching a compromise on a "rotational chief minister formula", under which Shivakumar was promised the top post after two-and-a-half years.
