Allahabad HC Directed Yeida To Seize Control, Complete And Deliver These Projects, Unfinished For Over 15 Years
NOIDA: In a landmark ruling, the Allahabad high court has stepped in to protect the interests of 4,638 homebuyers caught in the limbo of 14 long-delayed real estate projects by Jaiprakash Associates Limited (JAL), directing the Uttar Pradesh government and the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) to seize control, complete, and finally deliver these projects that have remained unfinished for over 15 years.
The high court also upheld Yeida's decision to cancel the allotment of 1,000 hectares of land to JAL for developing the Sports City project after JAL failed to clear dues of around ₹3,621 crore (till 2022), despite multiple notices.
