One held for murdering F'bad boy, dumping body on Gurugram road

A day after police recovered the body of a nine-year-old boy who was kidnapped from near his Faridabad house, officers on Wednesday said they have arrested a 26-year-old man in connection with the abduction-murder.
GURUGRAM:
Officers identified the accused as Ajit Singh, and said that he kidnapped Vinay Kumar, the deceased, to ransom him in order to pay off some debts he had accumulated. They said Singh was apprehended from his Sanjay Gandhi Memorial (SGM) Nagar house.
Giving details of the case, police said Kumar lived with his family at Indira Enclave in Faridabad Sector-21D. On Monday morning at around 9am, they said, the nine-year-old went to a local park to play cricket, where Singh — who earlier lived in the same neighbourhood — abducted him and took him to his SGM Nagar house.
