NDLS Stampede: 3 Senior Railways Officials Transferred

More than two weeks after a stampede at the New Delhi Railway Station on February 15 led to the deaths of 18 people, the railway ministry has issued transfer orders to three top officials — the divisional railway manager (DRM) for the Delhi division under the North Zone, the NDLS director, and the senior divisional commercial manager at the railway station.
NEW DELHI:
Sukhwinder Singh, who had been serving as the Delhi DRM since July 2023, has been replaced by Pushpesh R Tripathy, currently stationed at North Central Railway.
People aware of the matter said officials in such positions typically serve at least two years, but Singh was transferred just months into his tenure.
