UP Board students to get marksheets in June

Some 326 houses out of the total 528 allotted under the Kanshi Ram Awas Yojana in Devghat Jhalwa area in the Sangam city years ago were found either locked, sold or rented out during an inspection conducted recently, said district officials aware of the issue.

This came to fore during the inspection of the houses from block 1 to 33 by SDM (Sadar) Abhishek Kumar Singh along with a team of revenue department on May 12. The report was submitted to the DM's office on May 15.

Prayagraj DM Ravindra Kumar Mandar said, "Such people who are residing in these houses illegally on rent would be made to vacate the same and the houses will be allotted to the needy."

The said houses were allotted free of cost to eligible beneficiaries belonging to below poverty line (BPL) category in 2008-09.

The inspection was carried out in view of large numbers of people arriving with requests during public hearings held by the Prayagraj DM seeking houses in different government-run housing schemes.

Taking cognizance of these requests, Prayagraj DM Ravindra Kumar Mandar asked the SDM (Sadar) to carry out an inspection to assess the situation of the beneficiaries and submit a report.
