The areas along the India-Pakistan border in Rajasthan on Sunday returned to normalcy after facing red alert and blackout for the past three days due to the war.
BARMER/JAISALMER:
Regular activity resumed in districts like Jaisalmer, Barmer, Sri Ganganagar, Bikaner, and Jodhpur. In light of Operation Sindoor, 16 trains that were previously cancelled and 11 that were partially cancelled have now been restored, according to officials.
In Jaisalmer, a significant missile component from Pakistan, reportedly shot down by Indian forces on Saturday, was safely disposed of in Jaisalmer on Sunday.
"The explosive device recovered from the Sadar police station area of the district has been successfully disposed of," superintendent of police Sudhir Chaudhary said. He urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious objects without attempting to touch or photograph them.
"If any unidentified object is spotted, maintain a minimum distance of 100 meters and inform the nearest police station immediately," he further said. He appealed to citizens to strictly follow instructions issued by the district administration, noting that the situation is currently under control.
The Jaisalmer district administration on Sunday said a precautionary blackout was carried out from 7:30 pm till 6 am on Monday.
In Barmer, an explosion was reported by locals at around 1:30 am on Sunday. Debris believed to be from a downed Pakistani drone was found in the area, and a two-foot-deep crater was discovered at the impact site. Police and security forces have recovered the wreckage and launched an investigation.

In Bihar, the INDIA bloc fights a perception battle
Will it be the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) that will assume office in Patna on November 14, when the Bihar assembly election results are announced? Or will it be the Mahagathbandhan (a phalanx of the larger Opposition alliance, the INDIA bloc, in Bihar)? There's also a third player that is keenly watched — the Jan Suraaj Party, founded by pollster Prashant Kishor, who may emerge as a kingmaker.
