'Oxygen plants set up by MCD during pandemic lying unused and defunct'

The standing committee members have flagged the pressure swing adsorption (PSA) medical oxygen plants set up by the MCD during the Covid-19 pandemic that are lying defunct, demanding that the facilities be revived and linked to charitable organisations.

During the committee proceedings, MCD commissioner Ashwani Kumar said the civic body will look at a mechanism to utilise these facilities. He added that some oxygen concentrators had been put to use in some hospitals.
