MAN WANTED IN RAPE CASE KILLED IN U.P. ENCOUNTER

A 34-year-old man wanted in several cases, including a five-year-old girl's rape, was killed in an encounter with police team from Sarurpur on Monday, officers aware of the details said.

The accused, Shehzad alias Nikki, who carried a bounty of 225,000 was a resident of Mohammadpur Sakist village in Meerut.
A total of seven cases including serious offences were registered against him, Meerut SSP Vipin Tada said.
