Govt notifies appointment of 12 judges in three high courts

The Centre on Friday notified the appointment of 12 judges in three high courts, which includes 10 judicial officers and two advocates, within a month of their names being recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium.
Confirming the development, Union law minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, in a tweet published on Friday evening said that the names of 10 judicial officers have been cleared for appointment as additional judges of the Punjab & Haryana high court. The remaining two include advocate Tuhin Kumar Gedela as additional judge of Andhra Pradesh high court and advocate Ajit Kumar as judge of Patna high court.
