After Iran eases curbs on airspace, flight with Indians lands in Delhi

A Mahan Air plane from Mashhad arrived in Delhi late on Friday, bringing the first of roughly 1,000 Indian evacuees scheduled to leave war-hit Iran by charter flights arranged by the Indian government.
NEW DELHI: Earlier in the day, Iran eased airspace restrictions for the three charter flights for Indian nationals who were moved to safer places from Tehran in preparation for their return.
More flights could be operated in the coming days for others wishing to return to India, a senior Iranian diplomat said on Friday.
