UP man arrested for throwing acid on wife, two daughters

THE ACCUSED SUSPECTED THAT HIS WIFE WAS IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH ANOTHER MAN, SAY POLICE
SHAHJAHANPURA: A 50-year-old man allegedly threw acid on his two daughters and wife, whom he suspected was in a relationship with another man, at Tikri village in UP's Shahjahanpur, police officers aware of the matter said on Sunday, adding that the husband has been arrested in this connection.
The incident took place on Friday night. After arresting the accused, Ram Gopal, police also took a shopkeeper into custody for allegedly selling him acid, they added.
