Put Up Single Plaque For All Repair Works, Punjab Govt Schools Told

The education department on Thursday directed all government schools where projects are being inaugurated under the 'Punjab Sikhya Kranti' to put up a single plaque for all completed repair works.
LUDHIANA:
Ludhiana district education officer (DEO secondary) Dimple Madaan said the new directives were issued across the state as per directions from MLA offices.
The order comes over 'haphazard' inaugurations with schools installing multiple plaques for small repair works. Reports had surfaced that some schools installed up to four plaques, each for separate projects such as classroom repairs, toilet construction or renovations.
