Court Adjourns MP Rashid's Parole Petition
Hindustan Times Chandigarh
|March 08, 2025
A Delhi court on Friday deferred for a week the order on the plea of jailed Jammu and Kashmir MP Engineer Rashid for custody parole to attend the upcoming Parliament session.
NEW DELHI:
Rashid's lawyer, Vikhyat Oberoi, said the court would pass the order on March 10.
Additional sessions judge Chander Jit Singh had reserved the order on Rashid's plea on March 5. The application, filed on February 27, sought the relief on the grounds that Rashid was a parliamentarian and needed to attend the upcoming session to fulfil his public duty.
