Cases of digital arrest, and the resultant cybercrime, are a dime dozen with crooks now resorting to creativity to get what they want from their victims. So much so that even celebrities or the who's who of society are not safe. So, what could be expected of simpletons like me?

'Crooks from University' flashed across my phone screen as I chatted with my son, who had just reached college. The identifier made me laugh. My son, who was chatting with me through a messaging app on my laptop, advised me against receiving the call, but I still decided to answer it. "Just be careful, mummy," he advised.
