When Piyush Mishra sings, it's 'as an actor, not as a trained vocalist'

He is into theatre, music and writing, but Piyush Mishra likes to view each discipline through an actor's lens. Of the opinion that acting influences his creative processes, including songwriting, he explains, "Fundamentally, I am an actor. I don't consider myself a seasoned singer. When I sing, it's as an actor, not as a trained vocalist."

Balancing diverse artistic pursuits comes naturally to the 60-year-old. "The key is to love your solitude, to be comfortable with yourself. If you can do that, you will always find time for everything," he says.
