The West Bengal assembly passed a bill to allow women to work in bars in a bid to amend Bengal Excise Act, 1909.

Minister of state for finance (independent charge) Chandrima Bhattacharya presented the West Bengal Finance Bill 2025 before the legislative assembly on Wednesday.
