Kerala actor, director booked for cheating

Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly and director Abrid Shine have been booked on charges of cheating on the complaint filed by a producer at the Thalayolaparambu police station in Kottayam district, officials said.
The complaint was filed by PS Shamnas, co-producer of the 2022 film Mahaveeryar, which was directed by Shine and starred Pauly in a lead role.
According to the complaint, Pauly and Shine cheated Shamnas after promising him a compensation of ₹95 lakh as well as a co-producer partnership in a forthcoming film Action Hero Biju 2.
