In a push to promote the cooperative sector, Union Home and cooperatives minister Amit Shah inaugurated the newly constructed Sabar dairy plant, which was built at a cost of ₹325 crore in Rohtak. He said that the dairy sector in the country has grown by 70% in the last Il years and now itis the fastest growing sector in the world.

Addressing a gathering here at Sabar dairy (Amul plant) here, the union minister said that every village in the country would be connected with the cooperative dairy by 2029 and plans are underway to establish 75,000 dairy cooperatives in the future across the country.
