India, China to now focus on people to people exchanges

India and China on Wednesday agreed to continue efforts to promote people-to-people exchanges, including resuming direct flights, media interactions and celebrating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties, as part of efforts to normalize the bilateral relationship.
NEW DELHI:
The two sides reached the agreement at official consultations between the foreign ministries in Beijing, a day after a meeting of the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination on border affairs discussed the resumption of cross-border cooperation, especially on trans-border rivers and the Kailash-Mansarovar pilgrimage.
