Liquor Trader Murder: 2 Hurt as Shooter Tries to Escape

The prime accused in the Hayatpur liquor trader's murder case and an assistant sub-inspector of the Gurugram police crime branch were injured in an exchange of fire when the former tried to escape from custody at Kharkali in Karnal, police said on Saturday.
GURUGRAM:
The incident took place late Friday when the accused, Tek Chand, was taken to Kharkali for the recovery of the mobile phones which he had used in the murder. The police only knew about the phones but Chand had hidden firearms at the spot too, which he used for firing at the police team, they said.
