Don't let ‘jungle raj’ return, says Shah
Hindustan Times Amritsar
|November 02, 2025
Union home minister Amit Shah, who addressed rallies in Gopalganj and Samastipur districts virtually due to inclement weather, apologised for his absence but didn’t hold back, urging voters to vote in favour of the NDA’s proven governance track record.
“For 20 years, Nitish babu, and since Il years with PM Narendra Modi, we left no stone unturned for Bihar’s development,” Shah said, likening the BJP, JD(U), LJP (Ram Vilas), HAM (Secular) and RLM to the five Pandavas united in battle.
Attacking the Opposition Mahagathbandhan, Shah also took an aim at Congress's Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of shielding infiltrators through the recent yatras and reiterated the NDA’s commitment to conduct the nationwide Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls to weed them out. “Let Rahul Gandhi take out as many yatras as he pleases. Each and every infiltrator will be driven out of the country. The SIR was aimed at that and we welcome the Election Commission's decision to carry out the exercise across the country,” Shah said.
