'More agile' option is backed by North Herts

THE four unitary council option has been backed by North Herts Council's cabinet as its preferred model.

At a meeting of the North Herts Council cabinet last Wednesday, members decided that a four unitary model is their preferred approach, due to the fact it keeps local government truly local.
Councillor Daniel Allen, leader of the counci (pictuted), said: “This has undeniably been a difficult decision which Cabinet have given careful consideration to.
“Our priority in North Herts remains ensuring that any future reorganisation genuinely benefits our communities for decades to come.
