Now Lulu joins an all-star cast as bay artist's latest muse to aid charity

LULU is the latest star to be captured on canvas by a Paignton artist whose brushes have already painted a trail through the music and entertainment world - all in the name of charity.

Artist Roger Thomas has added the chart-topping singer and actress to his long-running portrait charity initiative, which started more than two decades ago with a serendipitous night at a Russell Watson concert.

During that concert in Manchester, Watson introduced a local fundraiser named Kirstie on stage.

Inspired, Thomas proposed painting Watson's portrait as a thank you, with proceeds from print sales supporting Kirstie’s charity work.

The idea struck a chord with the tenor, and soon a flurry of emails set the project in motion.
