Increase in youth ASB across towns in South Devon

AN INCREASE in antisocial behaviour (ASB) involving youths in Torbay has been linked to a group of around 15 youths from across South Devon and the wider area, police have confirmed.

At the same time police in Teignmouth and Dawlish have urged parents to check on their children after a huge number of teenagers massed on the beach at Dawlish Warren on Saturday, following a similar incident in Teignmouth a few weeks earlier.
Police said they had so many calls and complaints about antisocial behaviour from the gathering that they were authorised with special powers to disperse the crowds.
