Cornwood defeat leaves Paignton falling behind in Premier title race

PAIGNTON lost ground in the Premier Division title race when they went down by 55 runs at home to Cornwood.
Although Paignton remain in second spot behind leaders Bradninch & Kentisbeare, the gap between them has widened from nine to 22 points.
Cornwood's all-out total of 177 was worth a few more than it looked on a pitch that made batters work for their runs. Ben Privett top scored with a watchful 51 for the Wood.
