FC U18s in seventh heaven in cup win

FC Hartlepool's Under 18s team completed the double by successfully adding the County Cup to the trophy cabinet.

Goals from Tommy Miller, Harry Lake, two from Will Clapham and a hat-trick from Jacob Watson gave them a 7-0 victory over Hurworth.

FC Hartlepool teams in league cups and tournaments have enjoyed 37 wins and 26 runners-up spots, completing a fantastic mini and junior season for the club.

And there have been great individual achievements to celebrate.

Kian Foreman, who was in FC U16s last season made his football league debut for Hartlepool United coming off the bench against Rochdale - a massive achievement for him and FC.

Darren Thompson, who is coach of FC U8 Eagles and one of the club's U7 teams and spends all Saturday morning coaching the three to six-year-old Kickers section that provides four U7 teams every season, was runner-up in Durham FA Grassroots Coach of the Year section.

FC U18s' Jacob Lamb, Jack Chapman, Oscar Jackson and Kingston Butler were in the Cleveland Schools team at Stoke for the County Championship against Essex.
