World No.1 Scheffler targets third consecutive World Challenge crown

World number one Scottie Scheffler will seek a third consecutive title at the Hero World Challenge golf tournament as part of the field announced on Tuesday for the 20-man event.

Scheffler, a two-time Masters champion, won this year’s British Open and PGA Championship among six crowns collected in the 2025 season.
Host Tiger Woods was not among the 17 players revealed for the December 4-7 showdown at Albany, Bahamas, but three tournament exemptions remain unfilled.
The 15-times major champion has not competed since he missed the British Open cut in July 2024 and had surgery in March to repair a ruptured left Achilles tendon.
