The UAE Chapter of ICAP Members has begun the tenure of its new Managing Committee with the successful organization of Tax Boot Camp 2025. The event, which drew more than 150 professionals from across the financial, taxation, and corporate sectors, has been recognized as a milestone in the Chapter's journey. It combined technical learning with professional fellowship, while also setting a new benchmark for the quality of events that members can expect under the current leadership.

A highlight of the event was the panel session moderated by Yasir Gadit, FCA, Partner at athGADLANG and ex-Chairman of UAE Chapter of ICAP Members. The panel featured Markus Susilo, Partner at Baker Tilly UAE; Aamer Bhatti, Partner in Indirect Tax at EY; and Hassan Moosa, Head of Finance and Treasury at ruya. Their discussion addressed issues of compliance, treasury planning, and the wider implications of the UAE's tax reforms. Participants described the session as one of the most engaging components of the evening, offering practical insights that could be directly applied within organizations.
Hunain Yaseen, Vice Chairman Managing Committee for UAE Chapter of ICAP Members noted that such conversations are central to the Chapter's mission. “We want to create opportunities for members to engage with leading experts and to hear perspectives that go beyond theory. These discussions help our community translate regulations into practice, and they strengthen the credibility of our profession in the region,” he remarked.
