Thai, Cambodia trade truce breaking allegations

Thailand and Cambodia exchanged allegations on Wednesday of breaching a ceasefire deal which has largely halted the open combat that engulfed their frontier.

Meanwhile, the United Nations on Wednesday urged Cambodia and Thailand to implement their border ceasefire deal in full, and take rapid steps to build confidence and peace. UN rights chief Volker Turk called for both sides to protect civilians from further harm after both sides accused each other of breaching a deal that has largely halted the open combat along the frontier.
