Sultan chairs meeting of SPAA's Board of Trustees

His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member, Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairman of Sharjah Academy for Performing Arts (SPAA), chaired the meeting of the Academy's Board of Trustees on Thursday morning at SPAA's building in Sharjah's University City. The Board discussed several key topics, including the Academy's future plans and strategies for their implementation.

Also, efforts to enhance the Academy's development were highlighted, aiming to establish it as a leading educational institution which provides specialised, high-quality education for talented and creative students within the UAE and abroad.
The Board reviewed the SPAA's plans for the graduation of the 2025 cohort in June and approved several decisions related to the graduation ceremony. The meeting also addressed plans to introduce programmes specialising in cinematic studies, film production, and filmmaking. Additionally, discussions focused on preparations for the opening of the Music College within the Academy, set to kick operations off at the start of the next academic year. Strict admission criteria have been established to ensure the highest standards for student selection.
The Board also discussed expansion plans for music studies, including specialised music courses for young learners and the participation of Academy students in global artistic festivals.
