RTA launches ‘road safety’ film competition

DUBAI: Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched a student-focused competition targeting university and postgraduate filmmakers, encouraging the creation of short films that explore the causes and risks of traffic accidents.

The initiative is held under the theme “Road Safety Film Festival.”
The competition involves three categories, with first-place winners in each receiving certificates of achievement and recognition, along with cash prizes. Submissions open on April 1, 2025, and close on July 14, 2025. Entries can be submitted via the competition portal at RTA’s website https://www.rta.ae/wps/portal/rta/ae/home/promotion/road-safety-film-festival/more-participation-details-detailed-information-on-eligibility, submission criteria, and submission guidelines.
