Procedures to follow if Emirati loses passport abroad

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) stated via its account on the X platform that Emiratis can apply for return document service in just three steps and receive it via email within 30 minutes.

It advised them to keep copies of their identification documents to ease procedures.
The documents required when passport is lost include a copy of the lost passport, a copy of the lost passport report and a personal photo with a white background. The documents required when passport expires include a copy of the expired passport and a personal photo with a white background.
The documents required when passport is damaged include a copy of the damaged passport, a personal photo with a white background and a written letter stating why the passport was damaged.
