Pride banks on Golden Mile for G2 The Hunter glory

Trainer Joe Pride is keeping the faith and believes Golden Mile can bounce back to his best form in Saturday's G2 The Hunter at Broadmeadow Racecourse in Newcastle.

While unplaced in two Randwick runs for Pride’s Warwick Farm stable, the Godolphin sprinter-miler has had excuses and is a former Gl Caulfield Guineas winner.
“He's been doing everything right around the stable, giving every indication of a happy horse from what I've seen.
"So there's no reason to think he can’t get back to his best form.”
Pride pointed to Golden Mile’s form during the Brisbane Winter Carnival, where he finished excellent thirds in the G2 Victory Stakes 1,200m from the outside barrier before being edged out by Joliestar and Zarastro in the Gl Kingsford Smith Cup over the same distance at Eagle Farm on 7 June.
