MoHRE grants grace period to appoint Emiratis

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has affirmed that if the percentage of Emiratis in an establishment decreases due to sudden resignation of Emiratis, no fines will be immediately imposed, adding that the establishment will be given a two-month grace period to appoint replacement Emiratis.
The establishment's contributions will be calculated in case of delay to do so.
If an establishment has terminated an Emirati’s employment contract for logical reasons (violations, absence, etc.) it is not required to pay its contributions immediately but will be given a two-month grace period to appoint a replacement Emirati, and the contribution will be calculated in the event of a delay to do so, it said.
