Mohamed calls Pezeshkian, expresses UAE's solidarity

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a telephone call on Tuesday with Dr Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, during which they discussed the latest developments in the Middle East and their grave implications for regional peace and security.

The call addressed the Israeli military targeting of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Sheikh Mohamed expressed the UAE's solidarity with Iran and its people during these challenging times.

Sheikh Mohamed emphasised that the UAE continues to engage in intensive consultations with all concerned parties to help de-escalate tensions and support efforts to restore security and stability in the region. He reaffirmed the UAE's commitment to any initiative aimed at achieving this goal.

Sheikh Mohamed received a phone call from Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of Türkiye.

The two leaders discussed ongoing cooperation and joint efforts across various fields, and reviewed a number of regional and international issues of common concern, particularly the evolving situation in the Middle East.

On the other hand, in line with the directives of Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) has announced the exemption of Iranian citizens currently in the UAE from all overstay fines.

This applies to both residents and visitors, regardless of their visa type.
