Investor told to pay Dhs100,000 brokerage commission

The Real Estate Court in Dubai has obligated an Asian investor to pay Dhs100,000 to a real estate brokerage company after her refusal to pay the brokerage commission to the company that leased her a residential unit in the Burj Khalifa area, with an annual rent of Dhs650,000.
The court issued its ruling after confirming through electronic correspondence and a specialised expert report that the defendant had requested brokerage services and agreed to the commission before concluding the contract.
According to the case files, a real estate brokerage company filed a lawsuit demanding that the defendant be obligated to pay Dhs100,000 for the brokerage commission, in addition to DhsIO,000 in compensation and legal interest of 5% from the date of filing the lawsuit.
