China lauds Pak army's role in S.Asian peace

China has lauded the Pakistan Army as the vital contributor to peace in South Asia.

During the visit of Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Chinese leadership praised the Pakistani Armed Forces as a cornerstone of resilience and a vital contributor to peace in South Asia, a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

Field Marshal Munir paid an official visit to China where he held a series of high-level meetings aimed at deepening the strategic partnership between the two countries. He met senior Chinese political and military leadership, including Vice President Han Zheng and Foreign Minister Wang Yi, the statement said.
