Basateen Al Zubair power station starts operations

Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA) has announced the commissioning of Al Basateen Al Zubair electrical power transmission station, operating at 33/11 kilovolts, at a cost of Dhs23 million.

The initiative is part of SEWA's ongoing efforts to develop the infrastructure of power transmission and distribution networks in the emirate.
Engineer Hamad Al Teneiji, Director of the Power Transmission Department, emphasised that the project aligns with the comprehensive strategic plan implemented by SEWA to expand the scope of power networks and support the stability and sustainability of electricity supply across various areas in Sharjah.
This expansion aims to meet the needs of population growth, urban expansion, and future development projects.
