Al Wahda, Al Ain reach ADIB Cup semi-finals

Brahima Diarra delivered a standout performance for Al Wahda, scoring twice in a dramatic second-half surge that completely turned the match on its head.

After trailing 1-0 and facing the prospect of elimination, Al Wahda rallied behind Diarra's brilliance to secure a 2-1 victory over Khorfakkan.

The comeback not only overturned the deficit on the night but also clinched a 4-3 aggregate win, sending Al Wahda through to the ADIB Cup semifinals and igniting celebrations among their fans.

Khorfakkan made the brighter start and took the lead after 17 minutes when Lourency Do raced onto a precise through ball from Abdalla Ali Hassan before drilling a low finish into the bottom corner.

But the hosts' hopes suffered a major setback just after the hour mark when Pedro Pavlov was shown a straight red card for a reckless challenge on Reza Ghandi Pour.

With Khorfakkan reduced to ten men, Al Wahda increased the pressure and were rewarded eight minutes from time.
