AL KHALEEJ CELEBRATES 55 YEARS

Since its inception, the newspaper has remained steadfast, clear-sighted and focused. It has been both nationalist and Arab.

On the occasion of Al Khaleej newspaper's 55th anniversary, Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, congratulated the newspaper, saying: “We take pride in Al Khaleej, the Emirati media platform and a reliable Arab voice.” In a tweet on X, he said, “We congratulate Al Khaleej newspaper and its team on the occasion of its 55th anniversary. Its first issue was published on October 19, 1970 by the late brothers Taryam and Abdullah Omran Taryam, may God have mercy on them.”

He added, “Al Khaleej has accompanied the stages of the establishment of the Union and the march of national development. It has recorded a distinguished presence in following Gulf, Arab and global developments over the decades, establishing its position as a media platform that we, the Emiratis, can be proud of, and as a sober Arab voice.”

Throughout the newspaper's journey in the region, the two brothers have distinguished themselves by embodying their enlightened ideas and confident strides, leaving their distinctive mark on its front page with their clear, logical vision and objective opinions.

Over the years, Al Khaleej has continued to be a pioneer in the local, Arab and international news it publishes.
