ADAFSA shuts down restaurant in capital

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) issued a deci-sion administratively shutting down Kohinoor Restaurant in New Shahama area in Abu Dhabi, which holds trade licence no. CN-IO8014, for violating law no, 2 for 2008 regarding food in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the regulations issued thereunder and posing a danger to public health.

The ADAFSA explained that the food control report stated that the administrative closure deci-sion followed the restaurant’s repeated violations of food safety requirements and its failure to take corrective measures to redress these violations.
The facility was slapped with several fines and received a warning of administrative closure after many high-risk violations related to the spread of pests and insects had been detected, it said.
