Emirate sees a surge in business licences, trade activity, and women-led startups
Umm Al Quwain is increasingly consolidating its position as one of UAE's developing economic centres.
The UAE economy continues to post accelerated growth, underpinned by strong non-oil sector performance, rising foreign and domestic investment, flexible economic legislation, labour market incentives, and the country’s stability and security. Umm Al Quwain is increasingly reflecting this national trajectory, consolidating its position as one of the UAE’s developing economic centres.
Ahmed Obaid Ibrahim Al Ali, Director-General of the Umm Al Quwain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, told Emirates News Agency (WAM) that the emirate is witnessing sustained improvement in business activity, investor engagement, and sectoral diversity.
He said the expansion of commercial, professional, and industrial activity demonstrates both the resilience of the local economy and the preparedness of the business environment to support growth across multiple sectors.
